Hand Thrown Ceramic Soap Dish

To give your cold process soap or shampoo/conditioner bar its longest possible life, it needs to be kept dry between uses, ideally in a dish with drainage. I commissioned these simple but elegant ceramic soap dishes from local friend and potter, Caro Harris. The minimalist design and simple white glaze complements any decor, and really makes the colour in the soap stand out. Hand thrown, they each measure about ten centimetres across, and have an elevated ledge on the underside to keep water out.

A bar of luxury soap coupled with one of these dishes makes an elegant and practical gift for just about anyone.
